The Australia Indonesia Partnership for Justice (AIPJ), under the broader Australia Indonesia Partnership (AIP), builds upon the assistance AusAID has provided to Indonesia’s law and justice sector over the past ten years, including through the Indonesia Australia Legal Development Facility (IALDF), which operated from April 2004 to December 2009, and the AIPJ Transition (AIPJt), which will run from January to December 2010. 2.2 The Contractor will report to the AIPJ Program Director (PD) and will be responsible for providing direct assistance to the PD in order to facilitate his/her overall management of the AIPJ implementation on behalf of AusAID. AusAID will negotiate direct services support for AIPJ activities with selected Government of Australia (GoA) agencies and Australian courts through Records of Understanding (RoU). While the management of such services will essentially be outside of the control of the Contractor, Contractor systems may be required by AusAID to offer technical assistance and logistics support as determined on a case by case basis.
