Oz-Dev: Kiribati Technical Vocational Education

The goal of the Kiribati Technical and Vocational Education and Training Sector Strengthening Program (TVETSSP) is to support the Government of Kiribati’s (GoK) vision for an internationally respected national technical and vocational education (TVET) sector which plays a valued role in improving national economic growth and increasing the employability of the people of Kiribati at home and abroad, especially its young women and men. The TVETSSP is expected to contribute directly and measurably to three sectoral results, to:

1. increase the proportion of I-Kiribati aged 16-24 years completing TVET courses that lead to decent work or further study;
2. increase the number of I-Kiribati with recognised TVET qualifications accessing employment opportunities abroad; and
3. increase public and private sector productivity that can be attributed to TVET skills.
