Ensuring gender equality becomes central to Australian Aid Program delivery will require increased effort to strengthen gender integration, the development of targeted initiatives aimed at improving gender equality outcomes and better monitoring, evaluation and accountability mechanisms. AusAID intends to establish two Gender Equality Panels to provide expertise and services: (a) the Gender Equality Support Services Panel; and (b) the Gender Equality Training Panel. The purpose of the Gender Equality Support Services Panel is to enhance the quality and effectiveness of Australia's aid program by providing high quality gender equality advice to country and regional programs and program enabling areas. |
